Neo-expressionist painter and director Julian Schnabel brings his own style to Illy’s cup collections. Known for his emotional work with paint on smashed ceramic plates, his passion and artistic style has been compared to that of Jackson Pollock. Each espresso cup and coffee mug in his collection is labeled with a day of the week, and features another facial expression of surfer turned muse, Chuck. This collection is split into two sets: a set of 5 espresso cups with saucers (labeled Monday through Friday) in a gift box, and a set of 2 mugs (labeled Saturday and Sunday).
